I just wanted to stop by and say that I really enjoyed meeting you Ellis when you came to our resort to play. If Angels walked on earth I truly believe you are one of them. It was an honor to meet you and I hope my little girl grows up to be as sweet and talented as you are. She'll be born this June 2009.

Have just ordered Break the Spell and cant wait for it to be shipped over and im looking forward to the next album already!! I love your sound, your voice and lyrics blow me away everytime! One of these days I will venture over to the States and catch a live show (or could we Brits tempt you to a transatlantic adventure?)!! p.s Glad to hear the guitar is better after its little accident, I would have had the same meltdown had I been in your shoes!

We met at Eddie's Attic in Georgia and talked for a while, but now I seem to be faced with a dilemma: I have the Break the Spell album, BUT I didn't realize you could only get the acoustic mix at the show as I had never seen this site prior to attendance or I would have bought it then. I've got to say I'm impressed. A friend invited me to Acoustic Brew last night. I'd never heard of it, or you. You can now consider me a fan. Your stage presence is undeniable. You're a natural showman (showwoman?, whatever). I've literally seen hundreds of artists perform in intimate venues. None of them ever connected with the audience the way you did. Congrats.

Hey Ellis, just wanted to say thanks from the bottom of my nerdy librarian heart for last night's show at Burlap and Bean. My partner and I just broke up, so I decided to take myself out with some friends to see some live music, and you and the rockin' harpist were just what I needed. (And "Twisted Roads" was one of those weird synergy moments, y'know? Strange how sometimes the universe gives you just what you need when you need it.)

Ellis, Your description of the dropped guitar incident and your reaction hit a nerve with me. That "oh, my—things have just shifted in a fundamental way" moment is one of the most profound experiences we can have. It doesn't matter whether it's a little thing, like understanding an idea that had eluded you, or something more obviously dramatic like a death. The key experience is the realization that life is a series of pivots, that somehow bring us closer to the essence that underlies is all.

I'm a technician but once in a blue moon an artist comes along who makes me want to trade in the headset and console for my guitar. Then I wake up and remember that someone has to push the faders and twiddle the nobs and that my talent is in making other people look and sound good not in making music of my own. I just thought I'd let you know that you are one of those artist.
